NK-DOKU is a human rights-themed documentary film project. It encourages people to create screenings in various spaces.
We had the task of coming up with different screening rooms. We wanted to show that you can create a theater in any space, even underwater.
The narrative follows a slippery popcorn, which guides us through different settings and crowds.
To create an analog feeling, we used a mix of hand-drawn elements and motion graphics. The color palette is constrained, following the visuals of NK-DOKU. We chose a style that is playful and leaves space to dream about your own screening.
